July 13, 2020
The CTTC Valley Chapter released the following information on July 12, 2020 re: their Friday, July 17, 2020 meeting via Zoom at 7:00 PM PDT.
This month we will be having a re-broadcast of the Cayman Island Turtle Farm program featuring the Green sea turtle, Kemp's Ridley, and the Loggerhead sea turtles. Bob Hazard and Maria Kennedy both visited this unique turtle preserve founded to revive and maintain the regional sea turtle population. In fact, Maria, as a local teacher, used to bring her students here to educate them on this very worthwhile conservation program. We will see why this facility was started, how it works, and, of course, learn about these large sea creatures.
Since we will be utilizing Zoom, we will be able to see some of the live video effects we were not able to experience previously in 2017. The good thing is that you will be transported all the way to this Caribbean island all from the comfort of your home! Feel free to wear some summer island attire as you watch. Some of you can even change the Video background of your viewing room to incorporate an island backdrop! Let's see how many of you can do this! Click on Video button at the bottom of your screen; click on Virtual Backgrounds and choose your island setting! You might need a newer generation of computer for this to work well.
To receive an invitation and instructions on how to join the Zoom session you must be a member of the CTTC-Valley Chapter. You can Join Here.
